In this update, we added functionally requested by many as well as addressing bugs to ensure smoother navigation and functionality within our platform. These changes apply mostly to the institutional licenses, but also to the pro licence.
Enhancements
- Transaction Importer: Last month, we rolled out a portfolio importer designed for users creating a portfolio for the first time. In this release, we’ve expanded its capabilities to include historical transactions. Delisted companies are supported up to 2019, and while delisted companies may work beyond that, it’s not guaranteed. When importing delisted companies, only the FIGI will be accepted as the identifier. We’ve also updated the sample file to reflect the new transaction importer, which offers all the functionality of the portfolio importer with added features.
- Sector allocation dashboard in the portfolio module – We made improvements to better reflect sector allocation. These adjustments primarily impact Canadian companies. However, we recognize that additional adjustments are needed to accurately display sector allocation in the dashboard, especially since our users can choose between various sector classifications like GICS, Morningstar, Factset, and Stockguide.
- CPMS Models graph colors – We updated the colors in the models section (CPMS) to align with the Stockpointer models. The new color scheme is also more easily readable for users with colorblindness.
Bugs
- Factor attribution limit period: The factor attribution module previously allowed users to analyze portfolios over time, but the results didn’t meet expectations. To address this, we’ve disabled that feature by greying out the section when users apply factor attribution to a portfolio.
- remove “from start date” from backtest setting – The backtest engine was not properly rebalancing based on the start date of the backtest. We removed this option for now to limit confusion.
- Remove pooled strategies from autopilot strategy list – The pooled strategies are not yet supported by the autopilot and were consequently removed from the list of selectable strategies.
