In this update, we added functionally requested by many as well as addressing bugs to ensure smoother navigation and functionality within our platform. These changes apply mostly to the institutional licenses, but also to the pro licence. Stay turned
Enhancements
- CPMS Summary page for stocks: Previously, both CPMS and Stockpointer users shared the same summary page. Now, each has its own distinct summary page. The scores reflect “100 – percentile rank” within the strategy (higher is better). The circle color indicates whether the company is a buy (green), hold (grey), or sell (red) within the strategy. Users can change the strategy, and our platform will remember the latest selection for both Canada and the US.
- Market cap, market float and score weighing: Previously, only equally weighted strategies were supported. Now, it is possible to weight stocks in the strategy based on the above variables. The methodology is similar for each setting. For example, if 3 stocks are held in the strategy and they have market caps of 10B, 40B, and 100B, the target weights will be 6.67% (10/150), 26.67% (40/150), and 66.67% (100/150) respectively.
- Performance Breakdown (backtest page): The performance breakdown allows users to easily view the monthly performance of their strategy versus the benchmark and the values can be exported for further analysis. We are currently working on implementing quarterly and annual return, which should be available in the next release.
Bug Fixes:
- Variable date format: The date format was sometimes inconsistent for custom variables and remained inconsistent for all fields in the selector after a user selected it.
- Strategies ordering in custom Factor attribution: The strategies list within the custom factor attribution edition mode is now ordered similarly to the strategies section.
- Backtest date: If the backtest frequency is set to annually, the backtest dates on the summary page now correctly display the “start month & year” and “end month & year” instead of simply “start year” and “end year”
