Release Notes 2024.05.14

In this update, we will outline the added functions that have be requested by many users, as well as certain bugs have been adjusted on the platform. These changes apply mostly to the institutional licenses, but will also have some affect on pro licenses.

Enhancements

  1. Export to CSV for model and benchmark returns. Model and benchmark returns are now now exportable in CSV from the performance chart in the model’s overview.
  2. GICS (GICSECT) and Morningstar (MSSECT, MSGRP and MSIND) classification now display their names in the buy/sell list. The objective is to provide users with a convenient method for identifying and categorizing stocks belonging to the same sector, group, or industry classification. Due to a technical issue, GICSGRP (GICS group), GICSIND (GICS industry) and GICSSUB (GICS sub-industry) don’t have this feature yet, but it will be added in a next release.
  3. Replaced dropdown menus for calendars in the edit strategy section. Using two dropdown menus to adjust the month and year was inefficient for the user. We’ve replaced them with a calendar feature, similar to the one used to retrieved monthly periods in the buy/sell list
  4. Automatic date adjustment in the transaction tab. In the transaction tab within the backtest results, the system now automatically adjusts the date to comply with the 10-year limit, rather than signaling an error.

Bug Fixes

  1. Extra page from model’s PDF: In some cases, model’s PDFs could generate an extra empty page
  2. Status in buy/sell lists: By clicking between all/qualified and buy/sell lists, it was possible to trigger a bug where sell/buy status were replaced by hold in the buy/sell lists
  3. Multi-Universe: Employing a “strategy as universe” within another “strategy as universe” was originally allowed. Now, users are limited to a single “strategy as universe.” For instance, using strategy 1 as the universe for strategy 2 is allowed, while creating strategy 3 with strategy 2 as its universe is forbidden. This new behavior matches CPMS 5.9.
  4. Typo in buy/sell rules: A typo was corrected in the Sector/Management/Industry section. The text was different between the buy (Sector/Group/Industry) and sell rules (Sector/Industry).
