For this week\u2019s content analysis we\u2019re providing the structure and results of a custom filter we\u2019ve built. This filter puts an emphasis on three key evaluation areas:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Generation of shareholder wealth (EVA\/Share, Economic Performance Index, return on capital<\/li>\n
  2. Growth (short and mid-term growth of EVA\/Share, dividend growth in each of the past four years)<\/li>\n
  3. Free Cash-Flow provision<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Only 1.9% (18 of 957) of our Canadian stock universe meets our stated criteria.<\/p>\n

    The results are sorted by Economic Performance Index (EPI). We\u2019ve included a few other indicators for reference\u2014see share price, Price\/Earnings, current 12-month dividend yield.<\/p>\n
