{"id":44285,"date":"2021-07-16T19:46:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-16T19:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp2.inovestor.com\/2021\/07\/canadian-etfs-junes-launches-and-terminations\/"},"modified":"2021-07-16T19:46:00","modified_gmt":"2021-07-16T19:46:00","slug":"canadian-etfs-junes-launches-and-terminations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inovestor.com\/en-us\/2021\/07\/canadian-etfs-junes-launches-and-terminations\/","title":{"rendered":"Canadian ETFs: June&#8217;s Launches and Terminations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Canadian ETF industry\u00a0keeps on expanding,\u00a0reaching\u00a0$308 billion in assets under management\u00a0at the end of the second quarter.\u00a0Most new inflows poured in sector ETFs during the first half of the year.\u00a0In June,\u00a0eleven new products, including ESG and themed\u00a0ETFs, were added.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Franklin Templeton Canada\u00a0partnered with boutique Investment Managers with proven Sustainability expertise to list a suite of Sustainable investing ETFs.\u00a0This sustainable ETF suite comprises\u00a0of a global fixed income ETF,\u00a0that strives for attractive income generation and total return while guarding against downside risks,\u00a0a global infrastructure\u00a0active ETF, which invests in equity securities of sustainable issuers supporting infrastructure assets,\u00a0and an\u00a0international\u00a0growth\u00a0ETF, which invests in equity securities of sustainable issuers outside the U.S.\u00a0and Canada.\u00a0Franklin Templeton Canada will launch two more sustainable ETFs covering emerging markets and global equity\u00a0markets\u00a0in July.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Adding to the ESG\u00a0trend,\u00a0Horizons\u00a0ETFs issued\u00a0Canada\u2019s first ETF focused exclusively on providing exposure to a portfolio of global green bonds \u2013 a type of fixed-income instrument that raises capital for projects with specific environmental objectives or benefits.\u00a0The Horizons S&#038;P Green Bond Index ETF seeks to replicate the performance of the S&#038;P Green Bond U.S. Dollar Select Index, net of expenses.
