Cryptocurrency flooded the<\/span>\u00a0Canadian ETF<\/span>\u00a0market this month with fifteen ETF listings<\/span>. The World\u2019s first Ethereum ETFs hit the\u00a0<\/span>industry<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>o<\/span>n April<\/span>\u00a020<\/span>th<\/span>. Shortly after, multiple other providers issued their own Ether<\/span>\u00a0ETF<\/span>, some racing to attrac<\/span>t<\/span>\u00a0investors<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>by waving management fees.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Investors can choose between CI Galaxy Ethereum ETF<\/span>, Evolve Ether ETF, Purpose Ether ETF<\/span>\u00a0and the 3iQ\u00a0<\/span>CoinShares<\/span>\u00a0Ether ETF<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0CI Galaxy waived the full 0.40% management fee on the ETF until June 15, 2021 while Evolve ETFs waived the full 0.75% management fee on the Ether ETF until Ma<\/span>y 31, 2021. Purpose Ether ETF and 3iQ\u00a0<\/span>CoinShares<\/span>\u00a0Ether ETF each charge management fees of 1%.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As interest in th<\/span>is<\/span>\u00a0asset<\/span>\u00a0clas<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>surge<\/span>, Horizons ETFs\u00a0<\/span>introduced the\u00a0<\/span>BetaPro<\/span>\u00a0Bitcoin ETF<\/span>\u00a0(\u201c<\/span>HBIT<\/span><\/b>-T<\/span><\/b>\u201d)<\/span>\u00a0and the\u00a0<\/span>BetaPro<\/span>\u00a0Inverse Bitcoin ETF<\/span>\u00a0(\u201c<\/span>BITI<\/span><\/b>-T<\/span><\/b>\u201d)<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>HBIT and BITI provide long and short exposure to Bitcoin\u00a0<\/span>through the use of<\/span>\u00a0futures contracts and derivatives.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>These instruments cater to investors who want to bet on the direction of the volatile digital coin.<\/span>\u00a0HBIT charge<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>management fee of 1%<\/span>\u00a0and BITI charges a management fee of 1.45%.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In other new launches, Horizons ETFs\u00a0<\/span>introduced the Horizons Global BBIG Technology ETF (\u201c<\/span>BBIG<\/span><\/b>-T<\/span><\/b>\u201d). The ETF tracks the\u00a0<\/span>Solactive<\/span>\u00a0Global BBIG Index, which is designed to provide exposure to the performance of publicly listed large-cap and mid-cap global equities in the following industries: secondary battery, biotechnology, internet, and gaming \u2013 represented by the acronym, BBIG.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
